The word 'Qutab Minar' means 'axis minaret'.
Quatab Minar, Architectural wonder of ancient India. King Qutubuddin Aibak of Slave dynasty laid the foundation of this 239ft sandstone Tower in 1199, adjoining the Quwwat-ul-Islam mosque.
